My name is Matt and I've been drumming in different bands for the past 11 years. I'm 27 years old and have lots of live playing experience (no world tours or anything, but enough to not get stage fright...ever). I started out playing metal but have since progressed to more of a focused fast-punchy-rock kind of sound. My main drum influences are Dave Grohl and Stewart Copeland.
I'm interested in starting/joining a band that has that has that straight-up rock sound with loud guitars, loud drums, (and dynamics will be in there somewhere too) with hooky melodic vocals. Something along the lines of Foo Fighters, Superdrag, Buzzcocks, Nada Surf, Queens of the Stone Age, or something of that sort/genre.
I just want to do something that rocks but also melodic/hooky that makes people remember your song days after they hear it. "Well crafted pop with bite".
I've got my own professional gear and mode of transportation. I also consider myself very reliable and dedicated as long as everyone is making their best effort towards the project.
My last band recently disbanded due to life complications with one of the other members. Looking to find another band to start/join immediately.
