A drive to better oneself and expand the boundaries of ones abilities and technique is what drives Erik Schultek behind the drum kit. Exploration, innovation, and adaptation is what best describes any successful musician. However, those qualities, plus the contribution to a musical situation, is what separates Erik from other drummers.With 20 years of experience, Erik has also personally studied under such drumming greats as: George Kollias (NILE), Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal/Serpents Rise), Mike Johnston (independent), Andols Herrick (Chimaira), and Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus/DAATH). The ability to blend numerous styles into musical composition is what gives Erik his own voice behind the drums today.Erik has composed, recorded, and played with numerous artists throughout the years and in 2009 he finally completed the construction of his own private studio ("Level 3 Studios"), which allows him to dedicate his time to recording drums for bands all over the globe.
